Blaze extinguished at industrial building in Red Deer County

Crews responded to a fire at a commercial industrial building Thursday morning in Red Deer County.

Sylvan Lake Fire Department responded to the call shortly after 10 a.m. on Kuusamo Close, but the county led the investigation.

Fire Chief at Red Deer County, Drayton Bussiere, said the fire, which was located minutes west of Sylvan, has been deemed accidental; however, the exact cause remains undetermined.

Sylvan Lake, who are contracted by the county based on proximity, put out the fire and no injuries were reported.
