Red Deer RCMP seek public assistance in cable theft incident
Red Deer RCMP are seeking public assistance regarding a power outage in the Oriole Park neighbourhood that was caused by damaged cables earlier this year.
On Aug. 12, at about 9:40 p.m., Red Deer RCMP were notified of a power outage in the Oriole Park neighbourhood, where residents reported hearing a loud noise outside just before the power went down.

Police and electrical workers found that an electrical pit in a nearby green space had been opened and several large cables had been cut, causing the outage.
