Woman who allegedly ground meat customers out of $60,000 arrested in Ontario
Three Hills RCMP say a Penticton, B.C. woman suspected of defrauding customers of her supposed meat business out of $60,000, has been arrested in Picton, Ontario.
Alberta RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Troy Savinkoff clarifies that Three Hills RCMP provided the lead on this investigation because the first purported victim is from the Elnora area.
He says other known victims are from Stettler, Red Deer, Clearwater County, Bowden, Paintearth County, Mountain View County, Leduc County and County of Wetaskiwin.
RCMP issued a press release Nov. 19 seeking out Krysta-Lyn Williams, who is 36. Ontario Provincial Police assisted in her arrest. She has since been charged with fraud over $5,000 and has been transported back to Airdrie for a Dec. 4 court appearance.
