Upcoming workshop focused on building strong parent-child relationships

On Nov. 26, SPARC Red Deer and Father Henri Voisin School will be hosting an in person parent/caregiver workshop with a focus on the 40 Developmental Assets.

Those in attendance at the school from 6 to 7:30 p.m. will learn why those assets matter and how to build strong parent-child relationships.

SPARC Red Deer says when children have more of these research-based positive qualities they are more likely to grow up healthy, responsible, and caring.

However, when they have fewer of the Assets, they are more likely to engage in risky behaviours such as alcohol, vaping, and other drug use.

Those interested can register on the SPARC Red Deer website under the events tab and the event is open to all adults.
