RCMP bring Remembrance Day to Red Deer seniors homes

Red Deer RCMP brought the spirit of Remembrance Day to three local senior living facilities this past week.

On Nov. 11, members from the Red Deer RCMP Youth and Community Action Team (YCAT) visited Inglewood, Aspen Ridge and Victoria Park facilities.

YCAT officers coordinated ceremonies at each location, creating an opportunity for residents to reflect and honour the service and sacrifices of veterans in Canada.

“It’s truly an honour to be a part of this initiative.” said Cpl. Amber Prosser, NCO I/C with YCAT.

“Bringing these ceremonies to our seniors and seeing the appreciation on their faces made the day incredibly meaningful for everyone involved. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to show our respect and connect with the community in this way.”
