Eckville resident wins $250,000

Eckville resident Barbara O. has won $250,000 from a September 13 draw on her EXTRA lottery ticket.

“I got so excited and showed my brother!” she said. “I waited a while to validate it in-store until the retailer I purchased it from was there to do it with me,” she shared.

She intends to use her winnings to donate to her local museum, which is currently being renovated, and trade in her car for something more new.

She purchased her winning ticket from a Co-op food store in Eckville (4924 50 Avenue) and won with her matching number 2566905.
