Update: Water leak repair on 50 St. extended through Friday

The City of Red Deer announced that crews will continue their work on 50 Street to repair a water leak through Friday.

Originally, the traffic disruption was scheduled to only affect motorists from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Traffic has been detoured from 45 Avenue to 53 Street because 50 Street is closed from 45 Avenue to 47 Avenue.

The City may open a section of 50 Street during business hours on Friday but ask the public to avoid the area if possible.
