Frost Advisory issued for Red Deer and surrounding areas

A Frost Advisory has been issued for the City of Red Deer and other surrounding areas.

Officials with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) say temperatures overnight are expected to drop to, or below, the freezing mark. Frost is expected.

ECCC encourages residents to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
