Pines and Normandeau neighbourhoods affected by morning power outage
“Wildlife interference” (bird) has been determined as the cause of a power outage in parts of north Red Deer Monday morning.
Dean Walker, Senior Utilities Superintendent, City of Red Deer, says the outage began at 6:30 a.m. and affected roughly 250 homes in the Pines neighbourhood and parts of Normandeau, before being restored again at 9:10 a.m..
Walker reiterates that it’s important that if you see something, say something, as it helps keep response times down for everyone affected.
