Two people arrested in Penhold for property crime and drug offences
Two individuals connected to property crime offences were arrested in Penhold on July 10.
Innisfail RCMP were patrolling the town and noticed a red van towing a utility trailer parked behind a home with residents known to participate in property crime. The license plate of the trailer was determined to be stolen from Calgary.
Officers say they observed a large amount of cut cables and copper wiring, as well as tools associated with break-ins in the back of the trailer when they approached the vehicle to address the three people within.
Mounties say the driver was arrested, however at first, the passenger provided a false identity. Another officer arrived on-scene and identified the passenger as someone with multiple warrants out for their arrest. They were also arrested.
