Fire Advisory in place for Lacombe County
Beginning on July 10, 2024, a Fire Advisory is in place for all of Lacombe County due to high temperatures and a lack of expected precipitation in the coming days.
County officials say these conditions are considered to be ideal “crossover” conditions, with high temperatures and low moisture creating extremely high-risk fire conditions.
During this time, Lacombe County says it is still issuing fire permits for minor burns, but Lacombe County will not be approving any permits for large-scale burn activity until conditions have improved.
