Life sentence for Bowden man convicted in girlfriend’s murder
It’s life in prison with no eligibility of parole for 15 years for a Bowden man convicted of second-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend three years ago.
Ross Arran McInnes, 30, was sentenced in Calgary Court of King’s Bench on May 13, 2024, and was also given a life-time firearms ban. He was scheduled for a jury trial from May 13-31, 2024.
McInnes was originally charged with first-degree murder in the death of his victim, a 25-year-old mother of two-year-old twin boys at the time, who was found dead in her Bowden apartment on March 22, 2021.
RCMP arrested McInnes at the scene.
