Lacombe’s Cranna Lake getting solar light installation

Lacombe’s Cranna Lake is getting a significant upgrade that will see a solar lighting project installed along its trail.

The City dollars come from the Community Builder Partnership Fund, and will go to the project’s proponent, Echo Lacombe.

Echo is spearheading the solar pathway, with plans for six solar light poles that will enhance safety, connectivity and accessibility, particularly during winter.

“Lacombe city council is pleased to endorse Echo Lacombe’s solar lighting project for Cranna Lake,” Mayor Grant Creasey said. “These lights will add safety and functionality to one of our city’s most popular recreational trails. Council is excited for the Community Builder Partnership Fund to be utilized to improve an amenity used by so many residents and visitors in our community.”
