New city councillor sworn in at Red Deer City Hall
Chad Krahn was sworn in as Red Deer’s newest city councillor on Monday, May 13.
Councillor Krahn is the first ever councillor in Red Deer to be elected during a municipal by-election, which was held April 22. The vacancy occurred following the tragic passing of Michael Dawe.
There were 10 candidates running to fill the vacant seat with Councillor Krahn, who was elected with 36.93 per cent of the votes cast.
The newly sworn-in councillor joined his colleagues for the first council meeting of his term immediately afterward.
