Town of Stettler launches Clean Energy Improvement Program for property owners
The Town of Stettler has officially launched the Clean Energy Improvement Program, in partnership with Alberta Municipalities.
The Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) is a financing resource that provides residential property owners the opportunity to borrow money to make energy efficient and renewable upgrades to their homes with flexible, long-term financing that is repaid through the municipal tax bill.
The Town says the goal of the program is to empower residents to renovate their property in ways that will increase sustainability while decreasing utility payments. Project examples include furnace replacements, adding insulation, replacing windows, adding solar PV, and more.
“We are pleased to partner with Alberta Municipalities to offer this awesome program, making sustainable and green renovations affordable in our community. We hope to see a number of residents take advantage of this financing tool, and as many local contractors as possible sign up to become involved in this opportunity,” said Mayor Sean Nolls.
