Local historical society to celebrate RCAF history Friday in Springbrook

This Friday, Feb. 23, celebrate 100 years of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) with central Alberta-based non-profit, Harvard Historical Aviation Society.

Founded April 1, 2024, the RCAF has a history with the region, specifically with CFB Penhold, a former Commonwealth training base during WWII.

The ticketed event this Friday is happening in the Officers Mess Hall in Springbrook (3420 21 Street), from 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Richard deBoer, president of the Calgary Mosquito Society, will present on the history of the RCAF. There will also be dinner and dance.
