Nov 12, 2023 | 10:37 AM

Provincial government officials say Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, Dale Nally, will travel to Texas Nov. 13-18 to promote Alberta as a destination for international technology investment.

While in Texas, Minister Nally is expected to attend several events at the 2023 North American Blockchain Summit to speak with business leaders, blockchain experts and government officials to attract blockchain technologies to Alberta.

Minister Nally is also anticipated to meet with Alberta and Canadian officials and industry representatives. The focus will be on learning more about the industry, identifying business opportunities for Alberta and promoting the province as a destination of choice for investors.

“Global companies are choosing to invest in Alberta – and for good reason,” says Dale Nally, Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction. “We have low taxes, less regulatory burden, a lower cost of living, a skilled workforce, abundant resources, a world-class education system and a robust research and development ecosystem. Telling our story to investors and trading partners is just one of the ways our government is working to secure Alberta’s future.”

The government says Minister Nally will be accompanied by one staff member. Mission expenses will be posted on the government’s travel and expense disclosure page.
