‘The Power of a Girl’ conference coming to Red Deer Nov. 18

Girls ages 14-18 in central Alberta are invited to come celebrate ‘the power of a girl’ and learn ways they can ensure success for themselves at a free conference later this month.

Nov. 18, Soroptimist International of Central Alberta, in partnership with the African Caribbean Centre of Central Alberta (ACCoCA) and the Central Alberta Immigrant Women’s Association (CAIWA), host ‘The Power of a Girl’ conference from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Red Deer’s Festival Hall (4214 58 Street).

The conference will feature ‘Dream It, Be It’ sessions, keynote speakers, a panel discussion, and more about goal-setting, financial literacy, stress management, mental health, overcoming obstacles and more.

There will also be prizes, swag and a photo booth.
