Rebels This Week: October 30-November 5
WEEKEND RECAP
FRI. OCT. 27 – Winning the special teams battle proved key as the Rebels knocked off the Portland Winterhawks, the #1 ranked team in the CHL, by a score of 2-1 at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Kai Uchacz and Kalan Lind (game winner) scored power play tallies for the Rebels in period two. Kyle Kelsey was superb in making 35 saves. Red Deer was 2-for-3 on the power play and held the high flying Winterhawks to 0-for-6.
SAT. OCT. 28 – The Rebels were unable to build on Friday’s momentum as they fell 7-4 on the road to the Calgary Hitmen. Kai Uchacz scored two more power play goals for Red Deer. Elias Carmichael scored his first goal as a Rebel. Carson Latimer scored again as well. He and Uchacz are now tied for the team lead with seven goals apiece.
