Flags of Remembrance fundraiser
Our Flags of Remembrance tribute of 128 Canadian flags flying in honour of our approximately 128,000 killed and missing in action stands proudly along highway 11 near Sylvan Lake, AB.
Each flag will have a plaque of honour in place on each flagpole, acting as a “Guardian of 1000 souls” with the name and service of a past or present military or First Responder hero.
Would you like to honour your hero? Now’s your chance to remember them and if they are still with us, to honour them.
On Nov. 12, all flags and plaques come down, and later in November we will present all plaques to the sponsor or the hero named. It’s a very moving ceremony that is appreciated by all who attend and experience. Your hero is recognized on the plaque and during the ceremony.
