Charges withdrawn for Red Deer County man accused of pointing a firearm following Innisfail bar fight
A Red Deer County man charged following a bar fight and firearms incident in Innisfail last year has had his charges withdrawn.
Landon David Aris, 24, had charges of threats causing death/bodily harm, assault with a weapon, and posses a weapon dangerous to the public, withdrawn in Red Deer Court of Justice on Aug. 28, 2023. A charge of pointing a firearm was previously withdrawn on April 17, 2023.
According to the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS), the charges were withdrawn because Aris completed the activities required as part of a mental health diversion program ordered by the court.
It was on Oct. 30, 2022, when Innisfail RCMP received a report of uttering threats at a bar in Innisfail.
