Tourism Red Deer names new CEO

Tourism Red Deer has named Jesse Smith its new CEO.

“Jesse’s in-depth understanding of Red Deer’s community dynamics, coupled with his leadership acumen,make him an invaluable asset for our team,” stated the executive team of Tourism Red Deer’s board of directors. “We are confident that with Jesse at the helm, Tourism Red Deer will reach new heights and further establish our city as a premier major event and tourist destination.”

The organization says Smith’s appointment reflects Tourism Red Deer’s commitment to transforming it into a new reimagined destination development corporation.

The goal is to be an organization which oversees tourism marketing, destination development, and tourism event development in Red Deer and region.
