Trial dates scheduled for Red Deer man charged in fatal Calgary crash
Trial dates have been scheduled for a Red Deer man charged in a fatal crash in Calgary last year.
Tyson Tyler Giroux, 30, is scheduled for trial in Calgary Court of Justice from March 11-22, 2024.
It was about 3:15 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, when members of the Calgary Police Service (CPS) responded to reports of a serious two-vehicle collision in the southbound lanes of Deerfoot Trail, near 32 Avenue NE.
“Upon arrival, we located a severely damaged car and a 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck with significant front-end damage. Moments later, we discovered a lone occupant in the driver’s seat of the car, who was subsequently declared deceased at the scene,” police said at the time. “The driver of the Ford F-150 truck was located in the vehicle and determined to have sustained minor injuries.”
