Jun 18, 2023 | 2:00 PM

A fun event for the whole family! On Saturday, June 24, the Chalack Family at Wendon Holsteins (19.6 km east of Bowden) are inviting people from the region to come and enjoy a hot and healthy breakfast and learn firsthand what life is like on a dairy farm. This free annual event is hosted by local dairy farmers who believe in giving back to the community.

Visitors will have an opportunity to receive a tour of the barns to see up close how dairy farmers take care of their animals. A registered dietician will be on hand to share some great recipes and to talk about dairy products. Activities for the kids include a balloon artist, a glitter tattoo artist, calf sketching, a milk truck tanker, and ice cream.

“We are excited to host Breakfast on the Dairy Farm,” said Jilian Chalack. “We feel it’s our responsibility as producers to promote agriculture and educate the public on where their food comes from.
