Traffic disruptions on Taylor Drive Bridge starting Monday

Motorists in Red Deer are being advised of traffic disruptions on Taylor Drive Bridge next week.

On Monday, May 8 starting at 8 a.m., the City says there will be lane closures on both north and south bound lanes so detours can be constructed. They say the closures are anticipated to be in place for two to three weeks.

When the detour construction is complete, city officials say the northbound lanes of the bridge will be closed, as crews complete rehabilitation work on the bridge structure, diverting traffic to southbound lanes.

As part of this work, 54 Ave will also be closed between Taylor Drive and 50A St. Drivers needing to turn onto Taylor Drive from 54 Ave will need to use 50A St instead.
