New Red Deer school unveils logos and team name

Logos for Red Deer’s newest school have been revealed by Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools.

St. Lorenzo Ruiz Middle School (grades 6-9), to be located in Kentwood and open this fall, will be known as the home of the Golden Eagles.

Golden eagles have a strong connection to the school’s patron saint, St. Lorenzo Ruiz, and Red Deer’s Filipino community, the division says.

“We are thrilled to unveil these logos for our new middle school,” said Rob Coumont, St. Lorenzo Ruiz Principal. “They embody our values and our mission, and we hope they will inspire our students to strive for excellence in everything they do.”
