Man in alleged stolen vehicle arrested entering Gasoline Alley store

One person is facing charges following an incident in central Alberta on March 29.

That day, Calgary Police alerted Red Deer RCMP that they were following a male driver who was said to be be unlawfully at-large and had allegedly threatened to shoot police.

Police believed the suspect was driving a vehicle stolen out of Stettler.

Later on, RCMP located the vehicle in the Gasoline Alley Costco parking lot, and members intercepted the male as he entered the store.

Bruce Johnson, 66, was arrested without incident and has been remanded into custody.

Calgary Police are still investigating the incident to determine if additional charges are warranted.
