Trial dates set for second man charged in business break-in and stolen firearms seizure
Trial dates have been set for the second of two men charged in connection with the seizure of stolen guns and other items following a local business break-in last year.
Jacob Courtemanche, 25, of Red Deer, is scheduled for trial from May 1-2, 2023 in Red Deer provincial court following his preliminary hearing on March 17, 2023, which determined his case has enough evidence to go to trial.
Courtemanche’s co-accused, Trevor Legge, 40, of Red Deer, is scheduled for trial in Red Deer provincial court from March 21-22, 2023. Legge was previously scheduled for trial last month.
It was on the morning of May 19, 2022, when police say three unidentified suspects were involved in a break and enter of a firearms supplier in Red Deer County. RCMP say multiple firearms and other items were stolen from the business.
