Red Deer man wins $100,000 on 6/49

A Red Deer man is $100,000 richer after matching the EXTRA on his Jan. 19, 2023 Western 6/49 ticket.

“I was going through my morning routine, drinking my coffee and checking my emails,” the man explained as he claimed his prize.

He discovered his win by checking his numbers against the winning numbers posted online. He won by matching the last six digits of the winning EXTRA number 587784.

“I saw the numbers, then once I saw the winner was in Alberta, I knew I won.”

The man bought his ticket on Jan. 12 at the Sylvan Lake Sobeys.

He has no plans other than to put into the bank.

“It feels good,” he added.
