Gasoline Alley Farmers Market marks two years since opening

Dec 3, 2022 | 2:00 PM

The Gasoline Alley Farmers Marker is celebrating two years of being open.

The market has more than 50 permanent vendors, all Alberta-owned, and has hosted hundreds of business owners selling their wares.

Year-round, patrons can buy locally grown produce, meats, baked goods and unique gifts.

“The circle of life is so evident in this market. We have independent businesspeople coming together, sharing their interests, and giving back to their community,” says Shauna Fisher, Market GM. “This market is truly a model of community participation. We love seeing all the smiling faces coming through our doors. A big thank you to our vendors and our customers for making this a place to be.”

The market is currently growing its pop-up vendor program, which allows businesses to join for one weekend at a time.

Of course, there’s lots going on for the holiday season.

Santa will be visiting the market on December 17, and there will be cookie decorating, live music and other activities through December. The Christmas Market goes December 21 & 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on December 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gasoline Alley Farmers Market is located at 558 Laura Avenue on the west side of Gasoline Alley. It is open every Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Market Kitchen is open every Thursday.
