Red Deer County seeking public input on proposed budgets
Red Deer County council has tabled debate of the 2023-2025 capital and operating budgets, as well as the 2023-2027 capital plan, in order to seek public feedback.
In a release, the County says the proposed budgets illustrate inflationary pressures, and also maintain service levels with a 3.5 per cent tax increase.
“Council is being prudent and items like road and bridge upgrades still make up the bulk of our capital budget,” says Mayor Jim Wood. “Administration has put in a lot of logic in this budget, initiatives such as broadband is underway to help serve County residents, it is important to get this out to our public for their input.”
According to the County:
