All buildings demolished, site cleanup underway at Michener North site in Red Deer
Officials with Alberta Infrastructure are confirming that all structures on the Michener North site in Red Deer have now been demolished.
Chloe Carr, Press Secretary for the Minister of Infrastructure, says crews are currently working to finish site grading and clean-up, which means the contractor is working on removing the foundation and utility infrastructure, and completing backfill.
“Roadway removal is also underway, and crews will continue to perform site clean-up between now and early next year,” explains Carr. “Additionally, the landscaping phase has started, and will continue again in spring 2023. This includes grading, top soil placement and seeding.”
