Red Deerians close to raising $2,500 for Type 1 diabetes research
Red Deerians are participating in a larger mission in central Alberta to raise money for Type 1 diabetes research.
Sun Life’s annual Ride to Defeat Diabetes for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is taking place this year from October 6-13, where Canadians across the country will be spinning, sweating and stretching to fundraise for the cause.
In Red Deer, the Kinsmen club donated their annual $1,500 through the Scotiabank team on Gaetz and 45 St. to help the branch reach their goal of raising $2,500.
Two employees from the branch, Kieran Molloy and Chris Klassen, have been volunteers with the Kinsmen for several years.
