Alberta RCMP Major Crimes investigating Rocky Mountain House area homicide

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes is investigating the death of a man found in the Rocky Mountain House area last week.

On Sept. 30, 2022, at approximately 5 a.m., Rocky Mountain House RCMP were dispatched to assist EMS with a report of an unconscious male on the O’Chiese First Nation. Mounties say the male was declared deceased at the scene.

Police say an autopsy was conducted at the Calgary Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Oct. 2, 2022, and the death has been deemed a homicide.

RCMP say the investigation continues and an update will be provided when further details can be released.
