City of Red Deer Bob Stollings Award winner announced
The City of Red Deer has announced that Parks and Public Works Manager Greg Sikora is the 2022 recipient of the Bob Stollings Memorial Award.
The Bob Stollings Memorial Award is given out each year to a City employee who displays outstanding performance in alignment with The City’s cornerstone values – respect, integrity, service and excellence.
Nominations for the award are submitted by fellow coworkers detailing the employee’s achievements professionally and interpersonally, along with letters of support. Officials say the award is considered a great honour among City staff.
Sikora has worked for The City for 25 years. He is said to have been instrumental in the development and implementation of a number of major projects and programs including the Integrated and Accessible Transportation policy, which saw a complete revamp of The City’s snow and ice control standards to ensure community safety and accessibility throughout the winter.
