Police release names of 10 victims killed in Saskatchewan stabbings

RCMP have released the names and photos of the 10 people killed in a Labour Day weekend stabbing rampage in Saskatchewan.

The Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan RCMP and in collaboration with the families of the deceased victims, are releasing the names of the people who died as a result of the Sept. 4, stabbings on James Smith Cree Nation and in Weldon, Saskatchewan. They say they will not be identifying or confirming any relationships of the individuals identified.

The identities of injured persons will not be released. The coroner’s officer and RCMP confirm one young teen was injured and the remaining injured are all adults. Other specific ages will not be confirmed. Injured victims encompass both males and females.

Victims Services is working with Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and communicating with the families of the deceased and injured victims. The groups respectfully ask news agencies/reporters for privacy for those grieving the loss of their loved ones and the injured victims.

The deceased victims are identified as:
