Parkland RCMP seek public’s assistance in hit and run involving cyclist
Parkland County RCMP say they are looking for the public’s assistance in a hit and run collision involving a cyclist.
On July 3, 2022, at 6:40 a.m., Parkland County RCMP say they responded to a report of a hit and run involving a cyclist on Hwy 60 just south of Hwy 627 (Township Road 520).
The initial investigation, they say, determined that bystanders found an injured cyclist by the southbound lane. The cyclist, a 74-year-old male from Fort St. John B.C., was observed to have head and shoulder injuries. Officials say he was conscious, but not alert and has been transported by ambulance to a local hospital in serious condition.
Police say they found a broken side mirror at the scene that appears to belong to a larger white truck, similar to a Ford F350.
