Run/Hike for Hospice set for June 5 in Red Deer

Jun 3, 2022 | 7:38 PM

The 15th annual Run/Hike for Hospice, in support of the Red Deer Hospice, is happening June 5.

Hike, walk or stroll the 1km or 4km routes near the Kerry Wood Nature Centre, or run the 5km route along riverside trails.

“Run/Hike for Hospice is an opportunity to celebrate the journey of life for a loved one or just get outside and spend time with family and friends. The event also raises funds in support of end of life care in central Alberta,” says Jerri Taylor, Hospice executive director. “It is a key fundraiser for us.”

Registration is open for teams and individuals at reddeerhospice.com. It is also happening on-site starting at 9 a.m. at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre.

The event will formally begin at 10, and there will be a BBQ and live music to follow.
