Trial date for Red Deer man charged in forcible confinement incident

Jun 2, 2022 | 1:14 PM

A trial date has been set for a local man charged in a forcible confinement incident in Red Deer’s Pines neighbourhood earlier this year.

Todd Deschambeault, 29, of Red Deer, is scheduled for trial in Red Deer provincial court on Jan. 10, 2023.

Deschambeault was charged with forcible confinement, robbery, assault, two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited, possession of an unauthorized firearm, and possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition in the March 27, 2022 incident.

That’s when Red Deer RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant, resulting in one arrest, after members were dispatched to a call of a distressed male who’d allegedly been forcibly confined at a residence on Parke Avenue.
