Alberta Band Association Provincial Festival of Bands at RDP Main Stage Theatre in May

Students from across Alberta will be participating in the annual Alberta Band Association Provincial Festival of Bands from May 16 – May 20, 2022.

About 3,500 Junior, Senior and Community Band students will participate in 5 days of performances, clinics and sight-reading activities.

Prestigious adjudicators, educators and clinicians from Canada will be judging this year’s Festival. They include Dr. Tom Dust from the University of Alberta, Taina Lorenz from Edmonton, Jane McLauchlin from Calgary, Kathie Van Lare from Calgary and Ken Rogers from Lethbridge.

The public is invited to attend this exciting free Festival. Performances run from 8:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. each day at Red Deer Polytechnic on Mainstage in the Arts Centre.

This is the 43^rd year the Festival of Bands has been held at RDP.
