Outdoor track at Lindsay Thurber closed for repairs and maintenance

The outdoor track at the Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School (LTCHS) has sustained damage and is therefore temporarily closed for surface repairs and maintenance.

General facility use and periods of extreme heat last season have caused significant damage to the running track at LTCHS. This damage includes surface deterioration to a point where user safety has become a concern. The track repairs are weather dependent and as a result, are expected to be completed by late May.

The athletic field, jumping pits and pole vault pits continue to be operational throughout the repairs.

Residents are encouraged to use the walking track at Servus Arena or the track at the Collicutt Centre.
