Local bakeries and Central Alberta Humane Society partner for ‘Sweet February’

Officials with the Central Alberta Humane Society are encouraging Red Deerians to consider supporting local bakeries this month that support their shelter and its services.

CA Humane has partnered with participating local bakeries to celebrate ‘Sweet February’.

Each bakery has chosen a specific week in February to sell a signature item created exclusively for CA Humane. These bakeries are generously donating 50 per cent of their signature item’s proceeds to the shelter where it is used to help treat, care for and re-home unwanted, abandoned, and stray companion animals.

Some of the delicious and unique offerings include an ‘Ultimate Sundae Cupcake’ or a ‘Croissant glazed donut filled with Bavarian crème’.
