Tigers edge Rebels in the Hat
The Red Deer Rebels three game winning streak over the past week came to an end in Medicine Hat Sunday night, losing 3-2 to the Tigers.
Medicine Hat got on the board first when Red Deer native Noah Danielson scored on Rebels netminder Connor Ungar at 3:14 to put the Tigers up 1-0. It was Danielson’s 10th goal of the season with Brendan Lee and Daniel Baker assisting on the play.
It was the only goal of the first period, with Medicine Hat outshooting Red Deer 10-7 after 20 minutes.
Red Deer hit the scoreboard in the second period though when Arshdeep Bains notched his 20th goal of the season, beating Tigers goalie Beckett Langkow at 8:14, with assists coming from Jackson van de Leest and Kyle Masters to tie the game 1-1.
