United Way launches ‘Tell Us Your Story’ website

United Way Central Alberta (UWCA) has launched a new website inviting users to provide input on central Alberta issues and topics.

The project is called ‘Tell Us Your Story’ and can be found at engage.caunitedway.ca.

CEO Brett Speight says the site will help UWCA update its Community Impact Strategy.

“We want to collect the thoughts and hopes of as many central Albertans to help inform that strategy,’ says Speight. “The site is now live and we’d like to invite everyone to join in and get the conversation ball rolling.”

‘Tell Us Your Story’ consists of three areas, Dream, Discover and Design. In the Dream area, users can talk about things they would like to be changed, or ideas they’ve seen work well in other areas and would like to recreate them here.

UWCA explains further, saying that the Discover area features map integrations and invites users to drop a pin on their geographical area to better explain their idea or situation. Users can upload photos to provide a visual explanation of their topic. In the Design area, visitors can input ideas on ways to effect the change they are looking for.
