Ambulatory care closed Christmas evening in Sylvan Lake
Alberta Health Services has announced temporary new hours for Advanced Ambulatory Care Service in Sylvan Lake over the Christmas long weekend.
The Sylvan Lake Advanced Ambulatory Care Service (SLAACS) will be temporarily closed the evening of December 25 due to a gap in physician coverage.
New patients will not be admitted after 2 p.m. to allow the physician and staff to treat and discharge those in care, AHS says.
They add that this is a temporary measure taken as a last resort, as all avenues to secure physician coverage have been exhausted.
