Three arrested following alleged robbery at Bower Place

Charges are pending against up to three people in connection to an alleged robbery over the weekend.

RCMP say that on Oct. 2, at about 7:45 p.m., RCMP were dispatched to a reported robbery at Bower Place Shopping Centre.

It was reported that two males had entered a store, demanding money and merchandise. Suspects then are said to have fled in a north-side parking lot where a large black SUV was parked.

The vehicle was seen leaving the parking lot northbound towards Molly Banister Drive.

No one was injured, according to police. RCMP didn’t specify if any of the suspects were armed, nor the specific store.

Later that evening, a member of Red Deer RCMP observed a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description and initiated a traffic stop. Members then observed what appeared to be some of the stolen merchandise inside the vehicle.

Three occupants were subsequently arrested.

No charges have been laid at this time, however the investigation is ongoing. Names of the suspects cannot be released as charges are yet to be sworn.
