Here is the official list of candidates for the 2021 municipal election for the Town of Sylvan Lake.

The list of nominated candidates is updated as the nomination papers are received and approved by the Returning Officer. Candidates must sign a consent form to have their name and contact information posted.

Vote in the Alberta Senate Election

The Province of Alberta has issued an election proclamation for the upcoming Senate Election, which is to be held in conjunction with municipal elections in October of this year.

Vote in the Referendum

Questions on behalf of the Government of Alberta:

  1. Should Section 36(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982-Parliament and the Government of Canada’s commitment to the principle of making equalization payments, be removed from the constitution?
  2. Do you want Alberta to adopt year-round Daylight Saving Time, which is summer hours, eliminating the need to change our clocks twice a year?

On August 9th, 2021, Orders in Council were issued for two referendum questions to be voted on during the local elections on October 18th, 2021.
