Medical gear from Stettler donated to hospitals in Ghana
Stettler District Ambulance Association is donating medical equipment to Lacombe-based A Better World (ABW) Canada, and it will soon make its way to Ghana.
The association’s manager Linda Borg, who’s also an advanced care paramedic, alongside husband Jim, delivered two stretchers and several boxes and kits of emergency care gear the organization no longer uses.
The items are in great shape and will be shipped to Dominase Hospital and Jacobu Hospital in Ghana’s Amansie District.
Dr. Noble Donkor, who’s managed A Better World’s work in Ghana for the last decade, received the donation alongside co-founder Eric Rajah and Burman University’s VP of Financial Administration Darrell Huether. The item will be stored at Burman until it can be shipped.
