Fire restriction lifted for Red Deer County

A fire restriction previously in place for Red Deer County has now been lifted.

County officials say permits are now available online at rdcounty.ca/fire. County residents are encouraged to set-up an account to obtain a burn permit then call 587-802-9978 to activate the permit.

Fire permits are required for all open fires within Red Deer County.

Red Deer County Fire Services will continue to monitor weather patterns, but should hot and windy conditions return another ban or restriction may be put in place.
