Rocky RCMP Report: May 7-12

This is a report released to the media from the Rocky Mountain House (RMH) RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved throughout the community between the dates of May 7- 12

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

May 7

8:28 A.M. – Attempted theft of a vehicle in the area of Range Road 6-3 & Twp Rd 4100, Clearwater County. The vehicle ignition was damaged by the suspects who fled in a stolen FORD F350 from Rimbey.

9:31 A.M. – B&E reported to a residence on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve. A TV, a Playstation 4, and medication was stolen.

3:08 P.M. – B&E to sea-can containers and sheds at David Thompson High School. 2 males on surveillance were seen driving a Chev pickup truck.

May 8

9:33 A.M. – Theft of a stereo from a vehicle while parked at a residence on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve.

1:06 P.M. – B&E to a lease site overnight in the area of Range Road 51-0 & Twp Rd 40-2, Clearwater County. Locks were broken off the gates and the culprit(s) stole tools, a large metal box, and a microwave.

7:24 P.M. – 911 call of a disturbance and an assault in progress at a residence on the O’Chiese First Nations Reserve. Police attended the location and arrested an adult male who resisted arrest and assaulted an officer. Charges are pending against the individual who was released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

May 9

6:16 A.M. – Theft of a green 2002 DODGE Ram 2500 from a residence on Range Road 6-5 & Twp Rd 39-2, Clearwater County.

May 10

5:16 A.M. – Report of an assault at a residence on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve. Police attended and arrested an adult male. Charges pending.

5:57 A.M. – 2002 grey GMC Sierra stolen from a residence in RMH. It was reported abandoned on Range Road 7-1 near Twp Rd 39-5, Clearwater County. Fire extinguisher powder had been sprayed inside the cab of the vehicle.

3:01 P.M. – Report of vehicles keyed in RMH.

3:30 P.M. – 911 call of an attempted B&E to a residence on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve. Police attended and arrested an intoxicated adult male. Charges pending.

3:45 P.M. – Report in RMH of an attempt to break into a vehicle as a passenger door handle was ripped off.

5:59 P.M. – 911 call of an individual who was sprayed with bear mace at a residence on the O’Chiese First Nations Reserve, by 2 adult male suspects with a firearm. One of the suspects was located in a vehicle and subsequently arrested. Charges are pending and the investigation is continuing.

May 11

9:20 A.M. – Theft of a grey 2006 CHEVROLET Silverado stolen from a residence in RMH.

12:59 P.M. – Report of an abandoned vehicle in a swamp near a residence on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve. No licence plate on the vehicle which was towed.

1:03 P.M. – B&E to a residence on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve.

10:22 P.M. – 911 call of a disturbance and an assault on the O’Chiese First Nations Reserve. 2 individuals were arrested for “Assault with a Weapon” and “Break & Enter.” Charges are pending.

May 12

7:08 A.M. – Report of an attempted theft of a FORD F350 overnight from a residence on SecHwy #752. The ignition was damaged.

2:58 P.M. – Report of a truck being broken into at a residence in RMH. Apple airpods, keys, $30, and a knife were stolen.
